Annie in Austin
Welcome! As "Annie in Austin" I blog about gardening in Austin, TX with occasional looks back at our former gardens in Illinois. My husband Philo & I also make videos - some use garden images as background for my original songs, some capture Austin events & sometimes we share videos of birds in our garden. Come talk about gardens, movies, music, genealogy and Austin at the Transplantable Rose and listen to my original songs on YouTube. For an overview read Three Gardens, Twenty Years. Unless noted, these words and photos are my copyrighted work.

Sidebar Links

Wahoo! My husband helped me learn how to add a list of favorite sites. I hope redoing the list gets faster with practice, because my afternoon was shot. Oh, well – it’s too hot to do more than hand water the container plants anyway.
If this blog is a flop, can I blame RSorrell and Lball? They requested that commenters to their posts have Blogger accounts. Without that push, I’d never have done it.

  1. When I tried to comment on RSorrell's blog recently and found that you have to have a Blogger account to do so, I just sent her an email instead (luckily I had her address already). I can't deal with having to have an account somewhere to comment on someone's post, no matter how much I want to chat. Thanks for making it easy, Annie!

  2. Well, I just revisited RSorrell's blog, The Great Experiment, and she's enabled anyone to comment. Yea!

  3. I just wanted to stop by and say thank you for leaving the great comment on my blog.

You may want to try blogrolling.com for your links. They make it super easy to keep your links. You just add a little snip of code to your blog one time. Then you add new links through their site by just putting in the URL. You don't need to mess with with your source code every time you want to add a new site. It is much easier.

A comment from you is like chocolate - maybe I could live without it, but life is more fun with it. I'll try to answer. If someone else's comment piques your interest, please feel free to talk among yourselves.
